Piano Service Experience

I am a second-generation piano technician. I have studied under many fine technicians throughout my career. I was faculty and concert tuner at Indiana University and later held the same position at USC in LA. I have been rebuilding pianos and tuning them for my entire career. I have worked for the Steinway dealer in Albuquerque. Currently, I take care of the pianos for PianoWerkes, the local Yamaha dealer in Albuquerque.

I service all makes and models, preparing Yamaha, Disklavier, Bösendorfer, Kawai, Schimmel, Estonia, Steinway and other makes. I have attended the prestigious Yamaha Concert Performance Preparation and the USA Renner Academy. I am also a pianist and understand the needs and demands of performing. My pledge to you is to do the very best job that I can with your piano so that you will have the most enjoyment you can when you play your piano. It takes me about 1½ to 2 hours to do a really nice piano tuning.

I hold the certification of Registered Piano Technician (RPT). The Piano Technicians Guild has awarded fewer than 2,500 of these certifications to technicians who have passed rigorous examinations on piano history, construction, tuning, regulation, and repairs.
